DJ Mini was born in Rimouski, Québec. Soon relocated in the middle of Montreal's urban jungle, the young Evelyne Drouin slowly builds up a passion for the sounds of techno and electro. She quickly imposes herself as an important figure of the Montreal underground as a DJ, producer and event promoter. She has filled the Parking nightclub every Thursday for the past seven years with the help of many famous guests as the curator and resident DJ of the legendary Overdose parties.

Since the emergence of Gigolo Records, on which he has signed the first reference in 1996, David Carretta is acknowledged as a mainstay of electro-techno that he contributed to create. His tunes sound hard and metallic (his old machines still work pretty well) his pieces are forthright, with a “song mood” in the form and a punk fit of anger. He would not change along the years: the voices remain vicious and distanced, the bass sounds acid-like, the lyrics are French or English sung with a strong accent, as if he has taken a wicked delight in preserving every special features and defect of his complex personality.

Robert Babicz has been said to be the most versatile producer coming out of Germany for many years. A true pioneer of minimalistic sounds as well as raw groove. Every Babicz track can clearly be distinguished by his powerfully mastered, deep compressed basslines and effects. “Adultnapper” is a shadowy figure drawn from the dark reaches of Francis Harris' imagination. In 2004, Harris turned to the studio, intent on exploring new sonic territory, and adopting the Adultnapper moniker to represent his efforts. What emerged was a reaction against the skippy rhythms and repetetive loops that had dominated the electronic dance music landscape. Instead, Harris took a sophisticated, song-based approach, characterized by elaborate swung micro- rhythms, thick musical baselines, complex arrangements, haunting tonal melodies and brooding introspective atmospheres - and tastemakers took note.

Wild samples, raw beats and infinite dance characterize this European DJ who knows no geographical limits, taking risks and carving out his own fluid borders.

Veering away from the dark, serious side of the sound Rusko bought a highly driven energy and fun approach to the dubstep massive and quickly coined his own take on the genre and turned the scene upside down. His sound appealed to many people outside of the dubstep world as his productions became more adventurous in formula, sound and energy. His huge hit “Cockney Thug” has been played by everyone from Pete Tong, Switch, Diplo and Santogold. And has been remixed by Buraka Som sistema, Diplo, Drop the Lime and the Scratch Perverts. His sound continues to develop with different BPM’s that lean to jungle, house, hip hop or electro, either way, whatever BPM or tempo…you can immediately tell a Rusko track.

2006 saw ‘ZILLA’ (a.k.a King Cannibal) going back the lab and perfecting his twisted new sound, an industrial take on dancehall, dubstep & drum n bass. Demos and material started to leak out and with tunes receiving massive support from Amon Tobin (Ninja Tune,) Kid 606, Combat Recordings and Rag And Bone Records. 2008 looks set to be a year of true Cannibal Carnage due to massive radio support in the form of the recent BBC Radio 1 Scorn Vs King Cannibal Soundclash Special and Aragami Style receiving HEAVY rotation on Mary Anne Hobb's Experimental show , planned collaborations with Bong-Ra, remixes for The Qemists ft Wiley, Ghislain Poirier, Scorn and Ebola his EP on Bong Ra's Kriss Records and appearances at numerous festivals all squeezed around the recording schedule for King Cannibal's debut LP for his proud new home, Ninja Tune.
